LAST MINUTE HOSTESS GIFT IDEAS
Hey! Just to test my super powers Tony called to say he had a last minute gift he needed to grab (while out at lunch) before heading back to the office and out for the holiday break. He wanted to get my advice on a thoughtful and quick (if those two things can go together) gift. I am a woman of many talents (pats self on back) and so I gladly rose to the occasion and imparted my great wisdom. I will also do the same for you:-) It also helps that we are close to shops in the area, but I was surprised at what my mind could do under such pressure.
Here are some non cheapy, non-cheesy last minute gifts you can grab as you head over to a friends for a holiday gathering, or for a work mate last minute.
And to top it all off you can grab these on your regular shopping route or close by at the local Whole Foods, Target, neighborhood Anthropologie or craft/stationery store like Paper Source.
Rosemary Plant/Topiary - Snip off the bottom for yourself like so, or just wrap up pot in burlap or some pretty fabric you have on hand. Or just tuck in a handwritten card for personalization into the gift bag. Your host can use it as decor during the holidays and to cook for as long as they take care of it.
Soy or Beeswax Candle - I have a good friend who makes these great hand poured soy candles, but I also have a candle, given to me at a holiday party that I hosted that I LOVED so much that I used down to the last drop, and had no idea I would run into it a my local Target.
Picture Frame - Who couldn't use an extra picture frame? Just something pretty and not too trendy.
Journal - Im a journal fanatic. Who can resist the beautifully covered bound endless blank lined pages. What will they hold, the possibilities are endless. I buy them a TJ Maxx or the book stores and keep empty ones on my book shelf.
Catchall - A lovely bowl for the entryway table or nightstand to catch loose change or hairpins, or mints..
Monogram Mug and Good Coffee or Tea - Everyone loves a monogram right? Put a gift card or bag of coffee/tea from your local coffee shop inside for something extra.
